다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It investigates study which relates with Dokdo from the this paper. It grasps a hereafter subject. Dokdo connection datas that is published until present collect basic data using library, paper Retrieval Service and literature etc. It extracts the study list of the geography field which relates with Dokdo from the data which is collected. It classifies by data type, by time, by contents. It analyzes study tendency by each type of the data that classify. It investigates limitation of study for Dokdo. Geographer says field that can deduce study finding in situation of comparative advantage than other literary investigators. Hereafter, it wishes to supply basic data to offer geography connection research of course to encourage geography study regarding Dokdo. The researches which relate until now in Dokdo have the support of the nation and variously, it was advanced. But sovereignty or legal position of most Dokdo and with the old date or old map historical data research it was attaching importance in research of same human science and social science field. It judged by was analysis through document data because is hard to examine approaching in only Dokdo Island. If the approach of Dokdo is easy in future and if direct investigation IS achieved, It means the research of natural science field will be advanced actively.

독도에 대한 연구 성과를 검토하고 향후 과제를 파악하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 현재까지 출판된 독도 관련 자료들 중에서 도서관과 논문 검색서비스 문헌 등을 이용하여 기본 자료를 수집하였다. 그 후 수집한 자료들을 유형별，시기별，내용별 등으로 분류하였다. 분류한 자료의 연구경향을 분석 하여 독도에 대한 연구의 한계점을 검토하여 지리학자가 다른 학문의 연구자들보다 비교 우위의 입장에서 연구결과를 도출할 수 있는 분야를 밝히고자 한다. 나아가 향후 독도와 관련한 지리학 분야의 연구를 장려함은 물론 지리학 관련 연구를 하는데 기초자료를 제공하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.
지금까지 독도와 관련해서 국가적 차원에서 다양하게 연구를 진행하여왔지만 대부분 독도의 영유권이나 법적지위，고기록이나 고지도 등의 역사자료 연구 등과 같은 인문 · 사회과학 분야의 연구에 치중되어 있었다. 이것을 단지 독도에 접근하여 조사하기가 쉽지 않아서 문서자료를 통한 분석이었던 것으로 판단해 볼 때，앞으로 독도의 접근이 용이하여 직접적인 조사가 이루어진다면 자연 과학 분야에서도 연구가 활발히 진행될 것으로 생각된다.
