||Although Iryon(一然) wrote the Samguk-yusa(三國遺事), few has conducted researches in Iryon. Iryon Learned in Gachisanmun(迦智山門), but he attached great importance to Kanhwason(看話禪) in the trend of thought through interchage with Susonsa(修禪社) and took in various of idea extended to the Gyo-haak and Confucianism. He took uup a position in the central religions body through lively external working and excellence in the idea rather than contemporary the monk Ch'ungchi(沖止), who he was the sixth leader of Susonsa. Specially. Iryon seems to be influenced by the Yubulilchiron(儒彿一致論), which Hyesim(慧諶) - the 2nd leader of Susonsa - developed on the superiority complex of Chinul(知訥) buddhist thought that made progress than Confucianism. It was the deep recognition about Zen-thought. Gyo-haak and confucoanism that became foundations for writing the Samguk-yusa. Iryon wrote the Samguk-yusa by himself. It is said that the Samguk-yusa is the Buddhism history book in whole respect. Fundamentally, the Samgul-yusa is regarded as the Buddhist history book which mixed the Samguk-sagi(三國史記), a political history book, and the Haedong-kosungjun(海東高僧傳), a high priest-centered Buddhist history book. As compared with the Samguk-sagi, written by the confucian rational historical view, the Samguk-yusa has been regarding as the irrational Sin-i-sakyun(神異史觀, the transcendental historical view). Iryon didn't regard Sin-i as the queer in the Samguk-yusa, and tried to cop with the situation thougth Sin-i. Iryon recoglnized that the protection of the law of Buddha was related to the unification of three nation of Silla Dynasty and the reunification of Coryo Dynasty. And he regarded it as necessities in order to overcome the difficulties of the late Coryo Dynasty(高麗後期). Iryon wrote the Buddhism-centered history book. Samguk-yusa, and represented the Yubulilchiron that the Samguk-yusa could compare with Confucianism-centered history book.
