The purpose of this study is to consider the general concepts of the Sunbi and Sunbi spirit as Korean traditional culture, and to examine the Sunbi recognition of the king Jeongjo by 『Ildeuklok』. In other words, by dividing into three items: the relationship between the Sunbi and the monarch, which is the subject of the Sunbi spirit, the behavior of the Jeongo in accordance with the recognition of Sunbi, and his humanistic values, I tried to reconsider the value of Korean traditional culture.
I also focused on the background recorded prior to the analysis of the contents of 『Ildeuklok』. The recordings of individual records by the administrative officers other than the professional scribes have problems that can be directly linked to the credibility of the contents according to the ideology of the editor and the timing of the recording. In addition, it contains a lot of specialist, unlike other chronologic materials, so it is necessary to look at who the recorder is, because the role of the recorder at that time, which must be recorded without fail, is important. Through this work, it can be seen that the total number of 31 Kyujanggak Shin recorded from the first year (1783, Jeongjo 7) to the latter year (1799, Jeongjo 23). Although the records were listed in order of chronological order and rank order, it was difficult to know the detailed record time except the year, so it was necessary to study in parallel with other habitat or chronological data.
Then, we examined the relationship between the monarch and the Sunbi in earnest, and discussed the core values of monarch as a Sunbi and the Sunbi spirit. A monarch refers to a person who has the highest rank in ruling the country hereditary. That is why the monarch was a face and an example of a nation and had the duty and responsibility to lead the people right. The political viewpoint, ideology, and human virtue of the guiding order to lead the country properly are not so different. The concept of 'right' here is one of the most important 'human intelligence' It is also part of the spirit of the Sunbi. In other words, the basis of the existence of the monarch was the spirit of duty and responsibility to lead the nation in its entirety. As the spirit of Sunbi has passed through many times, it is difficult to deal with all the branches of Sunbi spirit in a short time. In this article, I have dealt with the core values that the spirit of preoccupation is directed by filial piety, fidelity, scholarship, reading, education based on national consciousness and humanistic thoughts.
Furthermore, the practice according to the Jeongjo's recognition about the Sunbi was divided into scholarship, reading, and education. Jeongjo was able to recognize that he criticized and criticized the disappearance of the Sunbi spirit, which occurred in the Joseon Dynasty, without denying the Neo-Confucianism as a monarch of Joseon with the national conscience. Reading was the method, and Jeongjo instilled in the Sunbi by showing the life of the coin and the life to the Sunbi.
In addition, Jeongjo was interested in education. He demanded that the contents of education should be loyal, and the basic education should emphasize 《小學》 to cultivate after school. In addition, I tried to educate the vassal in foreign language, and tried to correct the disturbed the Sunbi spirit by retraining the administrators who were dissolute as the 'chogyemunshin' system.
Jeongjo had a lot of filial love for his father Sado-seja. His philosophy has led to a politics resembling his father, and there is Hwaseong, which was built after Sado-seja who dreamed of an expedition to conquer the north. And I could guess that his father's influence was very big in the mind of the Jeongjo for people and the practice of correct punishment administration.
The idea and spirit of the monarch is the driving force of the country. Jungjo was the king who represented the late Joseon Dynasty, and his recognition of the Sunbi was the direction of his reign as a core value of humanism. His perception of Sunbi is evident in his works 『Ildeuklok』 and plays a very important role in helping his future readers understand the Sunbi and the Sunbi spirit of traditional Korean culture.
