This thesis attempts to focus on Lee Kyu-bo's thought of literature. What's important is the fact that the impetus of creating literary work is generally the internal identity. This is idealogical orientation presented in literary work. There is orientation of mundane a man of wisdom(a mastermind) as called 'Dal-in'(달인). Here, the orientation is importantly based on 'the Book of Change(역)'. philosophical Taoism and Buddhism. Theory of fate in the first two 'the Book of Change' and philosophical Taoism is deeply related to the Lee, Kyu-bo's recognition of reality. By figuring out the nature of 'Tao'(도), 'Ki'(기, spiritual energy) in the philosophical Taoism, transcendental stage of soul which is not disturbed by 'Mul'(물, things) is desired. What is identified by considering Buddhism is the blending with its philosophical Taoism. Also Buddhism makes a opportunity to mature contemplation of the inside. Through the Buddhism, Lee is conscious of the mentality.
The significance of his literary thought is that thought of universal origin and all thing and the view of internal mind is represented in his thought of literature. It is achieved by 'the Book of Change', philosophical Taism, and Buddhism with centering on the philosophical Taoism. He was master of these thoughts, so could write abundant and varied works. But he couldn't construct a original idea system. Because he was not a thinker but a literary man. Besides poet's identity is related to his own literary world which can be achieved by being well up on and transforming these thoughts.
