The politics of Lee-dynasty is characterized by that of Confucianist. In Lee-dynasty the public servant who made great efforts to realize the political ideas of confucianism during holding a public office was Called "Chung Baek Li"(the uncorruqted dublic servant).
The object of my study is to exmine the thought of "Chung Baek Li"and to revaluate it in the light of to lay's situation. The representative figures whom I selected for my study are as follows; Hwang Hi(黃喜), Lee Un chuk(李彦迪), Lee Hwang(李滉), Yoo Sung Lyong(柳成龍), Lee Won Ik(李元翼), Kim Chang Saeng(金長生), Lee Hang Bok(李恒福),
The fundamental and common thought of them can be divided into tree ideas.
The first; They considered that the thought of the king was the basis of politics. By them the education of the king was heightened to the dimension of the fundamental truth of confucianism.
This suggests that we must think much of the leadership.
The second; They drawed a straight line between the public and the private and assumed a firm attitude to choice the public.
This also was considered as the dimension of the fundamental truth of Confucianism.
This suggests that we must sublate egoism.
The third: The took a democratic idea and considered the people as the foundation of a nation.
This isea also came from the world-view of confucianism. This confirms that the people is the basis of a nation.
