      The purposes of this study are as fellows:
      1. to explain the influence and relationship of his positivism idea on the basis of Dasan's career and social and ideological support.
      2. to explain the influence of his educational thoughts on the basis of Dasan's ideas of positivism and governing people.
      3. to obtain the suggestion about current educational enviroment on the principal view point based on Dasan's educational purpose, content and method.
      The conclusions of this study based on above objectives are as follows:
      1. Dasan's thought is taken a lot of direct and indirect influences by many great scholars at that time, in particular, the ideas if Ik Lee(Seongho) play an important role to form Dasan's positivism
      In spite of 18 years exiled time, Dasan has great effort to read write books and newly interperted on the Confucian Bible.
      Furthermore he stands in unique position in positivism after his constant exertions.
      2. Dasan's positivism and ideology of the governing the people greatly influence the reorganization of the contents objectives and method in education.
      3. Dasan's educational emphasis based on a human being educational importance, positivism , Korean classical literature, accomplishments etc. palys an important role to the current Korean education, and his educational principle also gives a great influence to the Progressive mechanism for the present National Charter of Education.
