문화는 인간이 생활 이상을 실현하는 과정 및 그 과정 중에서 이룩해낸 학문, 예술, 종교, 도덕 등 인간의 물질적, 정신적 활동의 산물이다. 문화시설과 문화공간으로서 건축조형물은 기능과 문화콘텐츠을 담고 있는 영역을 의미하며, 각 개인이 가지고 있는 잠재능력을 최대한 발휘되도록 도와주며 자아실현을 이루고 문화생활, 문화공간의 주인의식을 갖게하는 상호 커뮤니케이션(Communication)시설이며 공간이라 할 수 있다. 현대의 건축조형물은 신소재와 첨단기술, 시대가 요구하는 신기능과 신조형적 형태 창조의 요구 그리고 사회적 배경과 의뢰자의 마인드와 건축가의 예술적 표현에 의해 보다 창조적이며 실험적인 형태의 건축조형물을 구현하고 있다.

Architectural moldings as cultural facilities and cultural space mean an area containing cultural contents as well as functions. In addition, it can be said facilities of mutual communication which help to show an individual s potential to the upmost, achieve self-realization, and have ownership of cultural life and cultural space. When architectural moldings have meanings of symbolization and relationship as cultural space, their halo effects are maximized. To make successful cultural contents, humanities․society․science, education․culture․art, multimedia, and information․communication․technology must be converged organically on and off line, and one source-multi use strategy based on ubiquitous from a planning step is needed, which is suitable for the times when perceptive and associative aspects stand out anytime anywhere. With regard to the halo effects of architectural moldings as cultural space and cultural contents, an analysis was made on real conditions of domestic and abroad cases as the following : Sydney Opera House as an architectural molding and opera, Louvre Museum, Funenokagakukan, The Aesop Village in Everland, Korean Folk Village, and Theme Park of Daejanggeum(a title of a famous Korean drama) as cultural contents. As shown in real conditions of cases at home and abroad, relationship between symbolical meanings of architectural moldings as cultural space and cultural contents stimulating and inspiring life in it was close and gave the halo effects each other. Architectural moldings as cultural space have symbolization and relationship of an external form. So when cultural contents are harmonized with humans naturally, values of culture are created and the halo effects of architectural moldings are maximized. In order that symbolization of Geobukseon(Turtle Ship) as an architectural molding has the halo effects on Yi Sun Sin as cultural contents, the following characteristics are indicated. First, functionality is indicated focusing on users who are active in space of Geobukseon as an architectural molding. Second, Geobukseon as an architectural molding has innovative and creative symbolization and creativity . Third, Geobukseon as an architectural molding has relationship to communicate with Yi Sun Sin, cultural contents. Fourth, Geobukseon as an architectural molding has economical efficiency to create economical added-value. Fifth, it has distinction as cultural space and harmonization with local culture. Sixth, it has convergence to centralize culture. It is necessary to prepare plans to reasonably introduce Yi Sun Sin as cultural contents, for communication of cultural space of Geobukseon as an architectural molding. First, edutainment storytelling is needed. Second, it must be planned as one source-multi use. Third, it is required to converge them with digital technology including ubiquitous. Fourth, MPR strategy and management strategy are needed for revenue model of merchandising. Fifth, manual is needed such as education, management, and service. Studies on the halo effects have conducted actively in social psychology and marketing, but no study was conducted on the halo effects of architecture figurative and cultural contents. This study contributed to expanding the range of study on the halo effects. Studies on architectural moldings and cultural contents are beginning. In this respect, this study has meanings. There were many difficulties and limits in establishing clear concepts and clarifying the theory because of insufficient precedent studies on the halo effects of architectural moldings and cultural contents. The limitation of this study was that only real conditions of architectural moldings and cultural contents were examined, but in-depth analyses were not made in studying domestic and abroad cases.
