다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)
Last year Korean people protested ill anger and hostility against the distorted Japanese history text-books concerning Korea, for distorted history impairs the development of human society in the end. On the other hand, some learned and experienced men reflect we were insulted not only by the arrogant Japanese, but by our servile spirit.
The informs of independence and self-debasement mean an idea against strong powerful nations, or stong rulers even in a nation.
Warning humilition of a nation or a person we are to give examples from our history :
1, Seu-hi(徐熙) In the time of King Seung-jong(成宗) of Koryo, under the pressure of an enemy general within the castle of the enemy, valiantly he withstood to win an equal negotiation.
2. Kim Seung-il(金誠一). In the time of King Seunjo(宣祖) of the Yi Dynasty, despatched to Japan as an envoy, restrained hauty Japanese delegates and concluded a treaty as equal.
3. Ryu Seung-ryong(柳成龍). In the war time of tile Japanese Invasion, King Seunjo(宣祖). above mentioned, wanted to enter into the land of Min(明). a neighboring friendly nation, only to evade crisis, but prime minister Ryu appealed ernestly to the King to remain in our land and withstand to the end.
