      The purpose of this study is to provide educational opportunities for foreigners to learn Korean history and culture by experiencing the old ways of Korean people's lives with various learning activities and through this process, learners will understand the difference between current and old life styles of Korean people. The study focuses on the regional history and culture of Busan, and in addition to that, it extends its focus into understanding Korean history and culture.
      Experiential Learning for history and culture is necessary in the aspect of understanding Korean history, experiencing the actual life of Korean people, and improving Korean language. When foreigners grasp historical events and emotions of Korean people relating to the events, their understanding about Korea will increase, at the same time, their apprehension about Korea will decrease. Experiential learning which includes all activities to absorb knowledge that they learn in books can be an excellent opportunity for learners to internalize the knowledge with full of excitement to learn. History is considered as an essential part which can provide the total way to 1) learn Korean language 2) understand history itself and 3) have active experiential learning activity and this study suggests teaching strategy with consideration of these three.
      In chapter 2, the study presents the present condition of cultural learning activity given by Korean language schools in universities and public institutions in Busan and organizes its characteristics by different institutions.
      In chapter 3, the study presents different types of events in Busan, which are made for educating Korean history to learners, and historical sites. In addition to that, the study suggests the direction of experiential leaning activities based on the characteristics of the events and historical sites in Busan.
      In chapter 4, the study focuses on educating Korean language and suggests the learning example for high-level Korean speaking students. The learning example is based on experiential learning activity of history and culture, and especially, it focuses on the Korean historical event called "Chosun Tong Sin Sa" which is the Korean historical event happened during Chosun Dynasty sending diplomats to Japan to make the diplomatic relationship between Chosun and Japan better.
      The experiential learning activity will be conducted with 50 minutes, 4 lessons and the activity will be different from the morning and afternoon class.
