다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is undeniable that『Chunhyangjeon』is closely associated with Pansori. However, now the education about『Chunhyangjeon』in high school is mainly containing Pansori Chang script in the textbooks being actually used and just focusing on learning related to Pansori, so that it makes the sequence of literature education confusing. This reality is the result of ignoring the purpose for writing of『Chunhyangjeon』, which was originally created in order to make readers read.
Therefore, this study considered 『Namwon Gosa』which is excellent in romantic imagery as the most suitable text for literary education. So this study aimed at designing an educational method for『Namwon Gosa』faithful to the proper function of literature education. However, allowing for the essence of studying literary work, this study focused on studying about the value of『Namwon Gosa』in literary education.
This study divided a paragraph focusing on the episode of two main character and analyzed by using ‘doubting’ and ‘questioning’ method. This study extracted the value of『Namwon Gosa』in literary education from the analyzed results. The results of this study are as follows:
The love of Lee Mongryong and Kim Chunhyang stemmed from their own desires. Over time, their love being passionately changed went through an ordeal by the newly-appointed governor asking Kim Chunhyang for bed service. The true love of Kim Chunhyang rejecting his bed service regardless of death deeply moved and touched Lee Mongryong and gave him a shock. On this account, the love of Lee Mongryong was changed. He became an civilian hero and then changed the society within the novel by punishing Yangban’s irregularities and corruption.
Eventually it is not the appearance of heroic Lee Mongryong but the true love of Kim Chunhyang that changed the story flow into dramatic scene of ‘appearance of secret royal inspector’. It was an heartfelt act not as ‘gisaeng’ but as ‘human’.
We can ask ourselves ‘if I were in the situation of Kim Chunhyang, what should I do?’ and look back on ourselves. Furthermore, we can agonize over ‘how we should live our life’ rather than ‘the life for becoming someone’. That was exactly the value of being taught and learned in『Namwon Gosa』.
Subsequently, this study made an attempt to design an educational method for『Namwon Gosa』. The basic principle is that by utilizing one session during Korean Literature lesson of 5～6 hours per week, we make 『Namwon Gosa』be read by learners during a semester as a long process. Based on this, we can make them exchange a variety of opinion in class and complete the final outcomes through writing lesson. This result can be a meaningful product in that it can satisfy both the functional aspect of‘reading & writing’of Korean language education and‘thoughtful appreciation’which is sought in literature education.
This study was the process for seeking the solution about ‘Does 『Namwon Gosa』have an educational value?’ and ‘If so, what is the educational value concretely?’

『춘향전』이 판소리와 밀접한 관계가 있음은 부정할 수 없다. 그러나 현재 고등학교『춘향전』교육은 교과서에 주로 판소리 창본을 수록하고, 판소리와 관련한 학습을 우선하여 문학교육의 순서를 혼란스럽게 하고 있다. 이러한 현실은『춘향전』이 애초에 독자에게 읽히기 위해 창작한 의도를 소홀히 한 것이라고 할 수 있다.
이에 필자는『춘향전』의 창작 의도에 충실하면서, 문학교육에 적합한 텍스트가 소설적 형상화가 뛰어난『남원고사』라고 생각하였다. 따라서 문학교육의 본령에 충실한『남원고사』교육 방안의 설계가 본 연구의 목적이다. 그러나 문학작품 연구의 본질을 감안하여,『남원고사』의 문학교육적 가치 추출에 연구의 중점을 두었다.
본 연구에서는 두 주인공의 사건 중심으로 단락을 나누고,‘의심하기’와‘질문하기’방법으로 분석을 하였다. 그리고 이 분석 결과를 통해『남원고사』의 문학교육적 가치를 추출하였는데, 그 내용은 다음과 같다.
이몽룡과 김춘향의 사랑은 서로의 욕망에서 시작하였다. 시간이 흐르면서 열정적으로 변한 둘의 사랑은 신관사또가 김춘향에게 수청을 요구함으로써 시련을 겪게 된다. 그러나 죽음까지 감수하고 수청 요구를 거부한 김춘향의‘진정한 사랑’은 이몽룡에게 큰 감동과 충격을 주었다. 때문에 이몽룡의 사랑은 변하게 되고, 변한 이몽룡은 부정부패한 양반을 징벌함으로써 서민의 영웅이 되어 소설 속의 사회를 변화시켰다.
결국‘암행어사 출도’라는 극적 장면으로 이야기의 흐름을 변화시킨 것은 영웅적인 이몽룡의 출현이 아니라 김춘향의‘진정한 사랑’인 것이다. 이는‘기생’으로서가 아니라‘인간’으로서 진심임을 알 수 있었다.
여기서 우리는 스스로에게‘내가 김춘향의 상황이라면 어떻게 할 것인가’를 물어보고, 자신을 들여다볼 수 있다. 나아가‘무엇이 되기 위한 삶’보다는‘ 삶을 어떻게 살아야 하는가’를 고민할 수 있는 것이다. 이것이『남원고사』에서 가르치고 배워야 할 가치였다.
이어서 이 문학교육적 가치를 적용한『남원고사』교육 방안의 설계를 시도하였는데, 기본 원리는 1주당 5~6시간의 국어수업에서 1시간을 활용하여 한 학기 동안의 긴 호흡으로『남원고사』를 읽게 하는 것이었다. 이를 바탕으로『남원고사』수업에서 다양한 의견을 교류하도록 하고, 서평쓰기라는 최종 결과물로 완결 짓는 것이다. 이 교육 방안은 국어교육의‘읽기·쓰기’라는 기능적인 측면과 문학교육에서 추구하는‘깊이 있는 감상’을 충족시킬 수 있다는 점에 의의가 있다.
본 연구는『남원고사』는‘교육적 가치가 있는가’와‘교육적 가치가 있다면 구체적으로 무엇인가’의 해답을 찾는 과정이었다.
